Microsoft FrontPage
TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD: Open the web on the
server by opening http://www.yourdomain.com. Then go to Tools -->
Security --> Change Password. This will change the password for FrontPage
publishing only - not your email or ftp password.
Step 1: Email info@metrohost.com
and ask to have FrontPage extensions installed on your account. You may
use any version of FrontPage, though we support FP2000 server
extensions.
Step 2: Create a new web on your computer. You can
find this command in the file menu in FrontPage. Please refer to the
literature to create your web site. If you get stuck at any point, feel
free to email us with your questions.
Step 3: When you want to publish your web to the
server, just press the publish button or go to the file menu, and select
"Publish Web". Make sure the location you choose is "http://www.yourdomain.com".
You will be prompted for your username and password. The username is
always "webmaster".
Step 4: FrontPage will update only the pages which
have changed since the last time you published your site. In the 2000
version you can more easily see the publication process. In the 1998
version you have to look at the lower left hand corner for the status.
The last step is always "processing changes". |
